The election result is a compass for the upcoming assembly elections: BS Yeddyurappa
Belgaum: I had claimed that the BJP would win 15 seats in the first preferential votes in the Vidhan Sabha elections. The BJP has won 12 seats. Former chief minister and BJP senior leader BS Yeddyurappa said, "All the leaders will be able to take the lead in the field.
Speaking to reporters in Belagavi here, he said that the BJP's own strength in the Vidhan Parishad would be facilitated. I am confident of winning 15 seats.
This is an election for elected representatives and prominent people in rural areas. In the wake of the Utopian idea, the rural electorate is backing BJP, Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Bommai in the state. "The impact of this will be on touring the state from next month to meet the goal of winning 140 constituencies in the 2023 assembly elections," he said.
He said that in four districts like Mandya and Hassan, BJP needs to be increased.
