BANGALORE: The number of coronavirus cases in the state has continued to rise, with 322 new cases reported in the last 24 hours. The number of infected people has risen to 29,96,470.

The death toll has risen to 38,213, with the death toll of 38,213, according to the Department of Health and Family Welfare.

In Bangalore, 165 people were infected today, with the number rising to 12,56,617 in the city. The Department of Health and Family Welfare says one person died from a corona in the city today.

Omicron panic: International flight not resumed from Dec. 15- DGCA

NEW DELHI: The Directorate of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has decided to postpone the resumption of international flights scheduled for December 15 as the new Kovid mutant 'Omicron' breeds in the world.

In view of the evolving global scenario with the emergence of the new mutant, the DGCA said in a statement that the situation is being closely monitored in consultation with all stakeholders and the resumption of scheduled commercial international passenger services has been postponed. Last month, the central government decided to normalize international flight operations amid a sharp decline in the number of corona cases in the country.

International flights to and from India have been canceled since March 2020 following the coronavirus epidemic. So far, the cases in Botswana, the UK, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Hong Kong, Israel, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Portugal, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Nigeria and Saudi Arabia Have been reported.

OMCR fears: Ministry Employees Union requests Speaker to cancel session in Belgaum

BANGALORE: The Ministry Employees' Union has called for the cancellation of the proposed Vidhan Sabha session in Belgaum in the wake of the fears of a new species of coronavirus, Omicron.

While it is welcome that Speaker Vishweshwar Hegde's letter to the Employees' Union is to be held on December 13th in the golden system of Belgaum, the fear of spreading a new species of coronavirus, Omicron, is spreading worldwide.

At a recent meeting with Chief Minister Basavaraja Bommai to curb the virus, experts have recommended that the state of the Omicron virus be alerted in the state and implement strict stringent measures.

Since Belagavi is currently a frontier district, with Maharashtra and Goa being the busiest districts for interstate and overseas traffic, the threat of spreading the Omicron virus by thousands of government officials, staff and politicians in one sitting is high. So, once again, the association's president Guruswamy has written a letter requesting the cancellation of the Vidhan Sabha session, which is scheduled to be held on December 13 at the Golden Gate of Belgaum.
