Kovid-19: 320 new cases detected in state
BANGALORE: Coronal fluctuations continue in the state, with 320 new cases confirmed in the last 24 hours. With this the total number of infected persons has increased to 3000105.
Zero cases have been reported in Bagalkot, Bidar, Chikkaballapur, Chitradurga, Gadag, Haveri, Kolar, Koppal, Raichur and Yadagiri.
Bescom's thinking to raise electricity rates
BESCOM: The state-run Electricity Regulatory Commission (KERC) has proposed a hike in electricity tariffs.Bescom has proposed to increase the price from Rs 1.23 to Rs 1.50 per unit, similar to last year's proposal.The proposal to revise the electricity rate is an annual activity, and after the proposal, KERC will review the proposal and finally announce the price hike.
"The proposal is not generally endorsed by KERC, but an annual revision will be announced," an official from Bescom said.According to officials, a proposal was sent to KERC three days ago and a response from KERC officials was to decide whether to approve or reject it.
