CM requests Karnataka bund to drop on December 31
BANGALORE: Chief Minister Basavaraja Bommai appealed to the Karnataka bandh to be called off on December 31.He was responding to the media after a state BJP executive meeting in Hubli today.Strict action has been taken against Kannada opponents in connection with the MES scam in Belgaum. He said legal action would be taken to ban MES.

566 positive, 6 deaths in Bangalore
BANGALORE: The number of positive cases of coronavirus in the state continues to rise, with 566 new cases reported in the last 24 hours. The number of infected people has increased to 30,05,798.
The death toll has risen to 38,324, with six deaths due to Maharima Corona in the state, the Department of Health and Family Welfare said in a statement.
Over 400 people have been infected with the virus in Bangalore today, with the number of infected people in the city rising to 1262,397.
